So sorry for your loss. Things are so tough in the beginning, but it will get easier to deal with in time. You found a place that you will definitely feel like you belong. There are some wonderful and very helpful people here.

I understand how sad you are. My wonderful husband passed away in October, 2014. I am busy and have great family and kids, but I am really alone and sad so much of the time because Roy is gone. It's just so hard to get through the day without getting overwhelmed and paralyzed by all the sadness. I know that for me, grief counseling helped me to understand myself better and not judge myself harshly for being all over the map emotionally on any given day. But grief counseling doesn't shorten the timing of grief and it doesn't make the pain less deep. So I understand. I hope you can find strength and small joys sometimes to move you through it.

Welcome Rose......so sorry for your loss. I am at 3 months and sadness right now, is a way of life for me. Today has been a little better, but I have had several breakdowns today.

I recently hit the one year mark and I can honestly say that it does get easier a little bit at a time. I still have sad days but don't have the panic attacks anymore. Feel free to post anything at any time. Everyone here understands completely and will always help. They have been life savers for me!

Rose, of course you are sad. It wouldn't be normal if you weren't. I'm so sorry for your recent loss of a long time love and life partner. This journey is not easy, especially early on. It's hard to imagine better days ahead. Quite honestly, you are at the beginning of this grief journey and it will take some time. I won't platitude you with the "it will get betters" or "time heals". Although they are true. Right now, simply focus on today. One day, moment at a time will get you to the final goal of healing. Be gentle with self, don't push, don't pretend, keep focus on self and grief, do what you have to do when you can . . . otherwise, let life unfold, as it will, knowing you can't control these crazy emotions. Rose, I am so sorry for your loss. Two months is just the beginning of the grief journey so be gentle with yourself. My husband passed 13 months ago, and I still attend a support group. It helps. Do whatever it takes to get you through each day. Many hugs....

Hello Rose. I am so sorry for your loss. We all understand how sad and devastated you feel. I think you will find that speaking to other people that have had the same kind of loss is going to help you in some way. Just being able to talk and express is important. Rose...so sorry for the loss of your precious husband. .It's one of the most difficult things to go through, this journey of grief. Even after almost 10 months of losing my husband, the pain can be devastating at times.
You are in a safe place here. We are all on the same roller coaster ride. There are many special people here to help you.

Rose, sorry you lost your husband, welcome to a place that has been tremendous help for me. Describing the feeling of loss of our loved one is like trying hold water in your hand. You feel it, you see it, you smell it and then it's gone. All we're left with is a weird dampness.

Hi Rose, I'm sorry for your loss. Welcome to the group and thank you for sharing. I don't think I recognized that part of it but you are so right, the sense of belonging is gone. I think I felt that to the core, then panic to get it back, then patience and some measure of trust that things would be okay someday. One day at a time is all you can expect of yourself right now. You found a good group here.
