This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I lost my husband Eddy in 2008. There are days that aren't bad, but there are days that are just miserable I miss him so much. But when I have those, I tell him how I feel and somehow that makes it easier.

The day my husband died, a heart attack and I did CPR to no avail, my daughter and father are the reason I kept going.
Without them, I would have given up right then.
I fight my way though every day, put on a mask to hide the tears and pain at work.
Be true to your feelings, don't ever, ever let anyone tell you how you are "suppose to feel" OR "you should find someone else".
That is so hurtful!
Cry when you need to, don't hold back. And laugh when you can.
Yes, it is exhausting, but these simple words..."Cry when you need to, don't hold back. And laugh when you can", written by pd45 can help get you through some of the tough times.

I just got on to this site yesterday, I'm glad you are here and I hope you find some comfort. I know I have, even if it is just a glimmer.
And you have already added, just by joining in.
Just keep holding on, we are going to get there. Read some of these posts the other girls did at 4 and 5 years, we are going to get there too. I told you a long time ago on this journey, God gave me a mountain to climb this time, and girl it is hard, somedays I feel like staying in bed and saying the heck with everything and everyone but something keeps me going, and we are going to make it, keep on pushing. Stephen would want you to grow stronger, he is already so proud of you !!! Hugs, Lynn
I called my experience like being in a dark tunnel filled with pits to fall in and roots to trip over. As the time passed I became aware the sun was still shining and I just couldn't see it. Hold hands and we will walk together. Hugs to all of you, Sharon
