Phyl, I'm so sorry for your loss of Don. Its very new for you and thus the hardest time. I understand what you are going through. My wife and I were married for 40 years. I felt as you, wanting to cry all the time. I went back to work 2 weeks after her passing, and to this day don't know how I did it. For the first year I was in a fog, and as I have come to learn most people experience that. I didn't even realize it for the longest time. The main thing now for you is that you get rest, eat when you should and remember to breathe. Your health is the very important right now, you are at vulnerable time.

Come here often, post anytime night or day, there is always someone here for you that understands.

Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the passing of your husband. I know you will find compassion and understanding here. It's a difficult journey, but being able to share your feelings with others who have had similar thoughts will definitely make the path a little bit easier.

Phyl, I am sorry for your loss, and I am also at the two month mark. iI still cry and weep every day. I joined support groups and know if I have a hard day can look forward to a group within a day or two. it helps to be with people going through grief/loss and there is always a box of tissues on the table. Everyone so supportive and you honestly can cry and no one gives you strange looks.

We lost the most precious person in our lives so if we want/need to cry, go for it.

I am very sorry this has happened to you. We all know those feelings so well. Please know that you will feel better in time. You are going through the toughest time right now. The shock and disbelief your spouse has passed, can be so overwhelming, that nothing else seems to matter, and many of the interests you have and usually enjoy seem meaningless right now. This will come back, very slowly, over time. The wonderful memories you shared with Don that cause pain right now, will gradually become comforting to you. This will take a while. I am just beginning to heal at the 10 month mark today. Take comfort staying here with us who fully understand this terrible loss you are feeling. We know your Don is alive and happy in Heaven, and wants so much for you to feel better. Comfort and prayers for you;

Thank you, I know each of you are still in the grieving phase, but to reach out and console me gave me comfort to know someone understands and IM not alone and helps me feel better. It is a very lonely world now without Don, but now I feel good having an extended family with you all. HUGS TO YOU ALL!
