I am so sorry. I know how much you are hurting I wish I could help. It has been over 3 years for me and I still have days that I miss him so much I cry all day. But not as many life is getting better. I think the end of that first year it really hits home that they are gone and the pain starts all over again. Mine died in an accident on his way home from work the suddenness of his death was hard to accept. Big Hugs!!!

Not sure what to say to ease your pain. It's been just over a year for me also, and I know the feeling of it seeming like it was just yesterday. I couple nights ago while i was lying in bed, I started to remember him so vividly, like it had only been a day not a year since we last cuddled up together.

I am so sorry that you are still so heavily burdened with this grief and loss. You have children and grandchildren that love and need you. I thought you took in a room mate to live with you and I was hoping that would have pulled you up a bit. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to get throught this. My thoughts are with you.

I agree with everyone here - sometimes it does take a lot of effort and a lot of time to make your way through the grief. Grief takes as long as it takes and it's not "one size fits all". Everyone grieves differently. All you can do.........is all you can do. I've found that some days I feel better than other days. Somedays it's all I can do not to cry and other days I actually feel like I'm getting a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel.
I love my husband with all my heart and I miss him every minute. I know how you feel, believe me. I'm sending you a hug for a better tomorrow.

Some days I can listen to my favorite love/spiritual music and it soothes me and I feel better. Other days I can put on the same music and I burst into tears and cry uncontrollably. I have no idea when I wake up each day whether I can listen to the music or not. Crazy moods. I feel I don't know myself very well sometimes. It's been 10 months and I still think of myself as being unstable yet. When I get to where I can live life and go out in public knowing I won't break down, then I think I'll know that I am stable then.

I've been thinking about you a lot lately and wondering how you were. Sometimes it seems like yesterday to me too - I don't really feel better either. I don't know what to say. Have you tried any groups? I'm thinking of going to one that starts soon. Wishing you the best - keep in touch with us.

Marie - I wish I could be a "picker upper" for you but I am at the same place that you are. My hubby passed away a month after yours. The first year was bad but this second year, the reality really set in. There is no more "LAST YEAR" we did this or that = now it seems so far in the past. My crying is not as often throughout the day but I still cry every night & sleep very little. I do hope each day brings a little comfort to you. CHERI

Marie, I'm so sorry you're still feeling so badly. Are you still seeing the counselor? Have you discussed trying medication to help? Sometimes when we've tried everything else and still can't quite face things, a mild medication will help. Are you still going to the group sessions? I thought that was helping.
