OH my gosh I sooooo miss being on the internet...and miss reading and hearing from everyone.
I try to get on more often......but this summer has been tough
1) MY MOM who finally taken to Seattle area to figure out her excruciating pain in back....here in Yakima they said it was pinched nerve, something disc et et but it was LYMPHOMA tumors on her spine...
She has gone through radiation can not remember how many but its been six weeks....AND today starts one large slow dose from 1 pm to midnight of chemo as she did not want to take chemo but specialist in Seattle have been great....THEY told us when we first arrived we can see your MOM is in pain and we are going to find out what the pain IS. AND they did.
NOW they feel if she takes just 3 chemo treatments it will keep it at bay and she most likely will die of old age than cancer...NO guarantees but better news than when we first got her there.
AND I have been lets see: had ~100' of electrical wiring buried from house to barn (it was originally stopped when barn burnt in 2007) could not find original line so taped it off and started new one. IT COST me no money....but good friends dug the line, buried a new line and I have power to my horse troughs and (cargo container - new barn).
THAN I had planted ~2 acres of new grass on hillside where landslide that closed our area for awhile also wiped out my vegetation...THAN did ~1/2 acre of new grass where we buried water line..THAN my water table went low due to low precip and flow in river so had just 1 load of wash and a shower or 1 dishwasher and 1 shower a day for awhile...now flow is going better...whew...
I have been working as a sub para pro at two school districts 24 to 30 miles from me...actually am amazed this Natural Resource major likes the small kids...due to degree I am able to sub teach in some subjects as they are short teacher subs. I worked with disabled children one day they had a walk a thon which I was not told those two little Shits walked 3 miles my Feet were so sore (wrong shoes)
I just put in new pellet stove more correct to use...I also got $250 for old one as long as I turned in to Clean Air Authority....so that was a haul.
Last load of hay to haul and my winter prep is done well as soon as I get pellet stove installed.
Painted two acres of metal fencing from rust...
SO that's my life....boring but if I keep busy.I get along fairly well. BUT no internet I sure miss miss miss

You really have done so much. A well deserved break is due you soon? Maybe mountain climbing?

We should get together some time. It would be fun to share our life on the farm sagas. I tried the email you gave me but it didn't work for some reason. We don't live that far apart, maybe we could meet halfway sometime.

Your life is so different from mine, how could it possibly sound boring? :P It does sound like you have made good progress on your land problems, and the teaching sounds like fun. Now if we can just figure out your danged internet problems! :)

For me, I met a wonderful man 3 years ago and we are very happy together with the support of both our children. Life can be good even though the loss remains in our life. My husband was also widowed which means we understand each others loss. Sharon
WE are strong aren't we women....
Mom has had one chemo two to go and the goal seems to be this will keep her going until she dies of old age.....
