In 10 days it will be one year. Why am I angry that the rest of the world kept spinning when I knew it would. Why am I still envious of every couple I see, old or young. Why do I still reach out for him when I know he's not there. Why do I still cry, and cry, and cry, and cry. Why is the pain still as sharp and the memories still as vivid as if he left me yesterday. Why am I angry that everyone goes on with their lives when mine doesn't seem worth getting out of bed for. Why does my head know that I need to make a life for myself now that has happiness and fulfillment and contentment, but my heart just laughs at the possibility. I really wish I could just wake up from this nightmare and he would make me feel better, but some wishes never come true and it breaks my heart.
Thanks for that little vent. I wish everyone the best in their journey.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I've been hearing year 2 is worse than the first. We are now out of the fog and are realizing the truth. He is gone, we are alone. I'm sure hoping it gets better for all of us. Some days get pretty bad.
Wishing you and us all some happier days very soon!

I too, have experienced a roller coaster of emotions during this past year, however all the firsts have been particularly hard.
Just tonight when I arrived back from a quick trip interstate to a family wedding, there was no one to meet me at the airport . It again hit home how very alone I am now since the loss of my husband and all around there were people being greeted by their loved ones.
I will think of you on your one year anniversary date.
See? You're not alone. Felt good for me to vent too.
