100 days since you passed and I last held you close. I remember it clearly...

We were loving as always. Your head in my lap, I caressed your head dearly.

Like many nights before we laughed, we teased, spending time together as one.

Things went so fast from light to dark...you were in so much pain and the nightmare had begun.

I thought it was like always, another trip to the hospital and maybe a stay overnight.

Never thought that this was the night where my forever love would finally lose the fight.

I prayed and I wept holding you in my arms I begged for God to let you stay with me.

And then I said but if you should take him, then hold him tight because you see....

This man is the very best of men,  the best daddy to his daughters,  my lover and best friend.

He made me feel special, loved and spoiled me to the very end.

I saw the light leave with him and a deep sigh of a long fought battle lost.

As I held you in my arms and they turned everything off...I thought of what this would cost.

To love a man so deeply and with such passion. Payment for this love is a broken heart shattered.

A father so caring and devoted. A daddy like no other leaves a void and a family scattered.

Tears fall both loudly and in silence for the love of a man who gave us his all. It feels so unreal.

They say time heals and yet these 100 days would certainly take a century for this pain to heal.

I know better days will come when the pain and loneliness will soften I am told.

I will wait for those days to come in hope that I will feel warm and not forever cold.

Thank you my love because if Loving you meant that I would hurt this bad.

I would gladly walk this path again just to be with you, for I know you were the best I ever had.

Till the day comes when I see you again my love.

I know you will be loving me from above.
