It's been a year, I've dreaded this day for a long time. Didn't know how I'd do. So far so good, trying to focus on good times and not think about the day he died.

I've heard from his girls, they are all very sad and hurting.

Probably tonight will be bad when I'm alone, but that's ok, he's worth crying for. Gotta remember he's not in pain anymore and he's in a good place with God. I'll join him someday.

I do want to thank you all for getting me through this last year, I don't think I'd be doing good at all if not for DS.

You will make it, I did yesterday at 1 year. One child and one grandchild came another grandchild came last weekend. One child called, and one texted. I cried all day, today my head is splitting today, from doing that. OK we survived a year, now I need to start going forward now....Hugs.... it will be alright.. Sandee

yes no doubt it's hard but you have to survive this like everything else life has thrown at us and I pray you will.
As you've stated he's in a good place with God. "Keep the Faith"

I know how hard it is to get through the first year. I cried every day for the first year and I set a limit not to cry too much the second year. It will get better. Mine will be almost 2 years in May. I cried last weekend when I was packing his love letters to me to move them to my new place. It is okay to cry. Big hugs to you.

It's tough - no question. But you've made the year of Firsts. The worst is behind you.
