It takes time to be a new person Again. Give yourself compassion..imagine you are your best friend and that's would you would do for your best friend right? I am into this lately off and on and it is making me see i am beautiful. You will see that too in time. (( Hugs))

Thanks for the kind words, but I see myself as who I am in Christ so I don't have any issues with low self esteem, I used to, before Christ but never after because my identity is in Him. Without faith, this time in my life would be nearly impossible to go through, but God is my best friend and He has gotten me through this far, I know He will get me through all the way until the end. To me the end will be the beginning of a new eternal life with Christ and all of those friends in Him that have departed this earth, so I do not fear death. Although I miss Vic immensely, he was my soulmate and best friend, I find the less I focus on myself and how I feel, and keep my focus on God and His Word, I find the strength, through Him, to carry on for the remainder of my time here. I just take one day at a time, sometimes the pain from the loss is more intense than others, but with Him, nothing is unbearable.

Yes I am very familiar with those Scriptures, when I first trusted in Jesus Christ 36 years ago this month, I started studying the Scriptures and have continued to make it a point to do so on a daily basis. The more of God's Word you have in your soul to meditate on, the more ammunition you have to combat the negative thoughts that enter your mind, especially when going through difficult times. No matter what is going on around you, His Word and His promises give you strength and hope and keep you grounded and keep your mind at peace. These are some relevant ones to meditate on when going through difficult times. I claim these promises on a daily basis and although the pain of missing Vic is always there, my mind is at peace with it. No fear, doubt, self-pity or guilt. It is only when I lose my Divine viewpoint perspective, that I also lose my hope, so I guard my mind with His Word. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. John 16:33 I have told you these things so that you will have peace of heart and mind, Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but cheer up, for I have overcome the world, 1 Samuel 1 15-17 Hannah had a sorrowful spirit and poured out her soul unto the Lord……and God answered her petition. 2 Cor. 1 3-4 What a wonderful God we have-He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
When we meditate on His Word and believe by faith, He will give us the strength and guidance to get through any difficulty in life, He doesn't always deliver us out of our circumstances but He will provide a way to get through them when we seek His help. This is the most difficult surreal period in my life but at the end, I know w/o a doubt that I will be with God in heaven and I will be reunited with Vic and all of my other loved ones In Christ that have gone before me.
