WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS OF FAITH Community Group
A place where people of faith may freely discuss issues of grief from a faith based perspective.

I see there are some of the same people on here as on the other W&W group, so I was just wondering if it's really okay to mention anything about our spiritual beliefs. Or if it's just going to be rerouted into the other group where people get offended if you mention God or Heaven. You either believe in God or you don't.

yes it's okay to talk about your faith here, this board isn't as active as I wish it was, I come once or twice a day but usually end up on widows and widowers group.

Very good question. I originally came here after seeing faith issues on the main board becoming very devisive therefore resulting in me not mentioning faith on the main board. I benefited tremendously from the main board on other issues in the grief process but faith was a issue I also needed to address because it was so central to helping me cope with my loss. Utilize both boards as you feel the need to. There are wonderful people on both boards that will support and nuture you in this journey.

Thanks for clarifying.

Mentioning God and your faith as long as it doesn't lead to argument. That is why they discourage that conversation. I am a believer in the Bible and the word of God. We need to remember that not all believe what we do . It's not for quoting scripture, but how your faith gives you comfort. It was the driving force behind me accepting the death of my husband and building a new life. Hope this helps. Sharon
