Today is hard. Just put my oldest son on a plane back to his Navy base. Now I am alone in this house. I am realizing that she is never coming home. Not a good day.

Yes.....one of those days, when you face the grief head on! I'm praying for you. Just let your emotions flow, let it out....it really helps......It's painful and hard, to say goodbye to your son. Hold on to our blessed hope,....you will be with your precious wife again.
I'm thanking God, for your son, serving his country.
. May God Bless our military.

For some reason saying goodbye to someone and I end up feeling an upsurge of the grief.

I am so sorry that you are struggling, but know that God will give you the strength to handle the grief, doesn't take away the pain, but helps make it manageable. Take care of you, and know that people are praying for you. Hugs. Katrina
