it's not getting any better, this gaping hole in my heart. i still miss him every day and especially every night, i bought my favorite scent he wore for myself it is a citris scent that anyone could wear, not that i care what others think of my scent. one of my daughters lives close and she checks on me daily to make sure i am doing ok. i ended up with strep throat and am being treated, just a few more days at home alone. i don't want to male others ill so i will do as the dr said. i have gained 30 lbs since my husband died in july. i plan on trying weight watchers again after christmas

You are a bit younger than me, and it IS scary. I am almost at the one year mark. I notice we all mark the time, I guess hoping for some reprieve with the passage of it. I feel like I have something coming on, like a cold, but I can't afford to be sick. Too much to do. I did sleep like a baby last night to make up for the night before. Probably would still be sleeping but got woke up by the landscapers. I am glad that more people are joining this particular board. It is cleaner. Prayers.

I hate living alone. It is my second time. After my first husband divorced me, I lived by myself for about 4 years. I am ready to meet someone because I don't want this for myself. I need that male companionship. Plus you have to do everything by yourself now. I am not beating the bushes, nor do I have anyone waiting in the wings, but I do pray for a Godsend.

You are in such a painful part of the grief journey just want to send you a big hug. For the first year after my wife passed I slept with her sweater because I could smell her scent. I found it comforting. Gradually you no longer need those things because you realize you carry them in your heart everyday. God bless,
