This is definitely the toughest part of the grief journey.. It is when your emotions are most raw and the pain is so intense. Looking back 4 years later I cant believe I survived the intense emotional pain I experienced. It is only through Gods gentle hand supporting me was it possible. I promise you God will walk with you also. Take it one day and 1 step at a time. Sending a gentle Canadian hug your way. Gerry

It's been 4 years for me. There are times that the struggles still overwhelm me. Repairs, updates, a new car, things I NEVER had to take care of previously. But, I rest in the promise that our Lord will NEVER leave nor forsake us. I have to ask questions, get referrals, enter into realms of which are new to acquire the knowledge necessary to survive. You will get thru, sleepless nights, days of pain & grief but HE is faithful. Go to our Lord in prayer.

Just a month today for me. I think it is getting harder right now as the reality is setting in. I still don't understand the why as my husband was such a light and he was taken so suddenly leaving not only me, but our 3 small children. He loved us so well. Night time is also the most difficult for me. We used to always sit and watch TV until bed time after the kids were tucked in and I just can't do it anymore. I also feel overwhelmed by all of the paperwork and now my work also wants me to come back and I just don't know if I am ready to add more to the plate. I am trying not to panic and trust that the Lord will work in some way - He has done so much already as we deal with this pain, but it's just hard. Hang in there and I hope it gets better for the both of us.
