I can believe without God being mentioned in every sentence and without feeling my thoughts are not my own without the mention of God.

I'd like to think that maybe, just maybe there is a thought process and possibility that I am capable of creating something myself.

Am I so presumptuous to believe that everything around me, the beauty of this world, is totally created by man, no, but please allow me to also believe that I have the strength and wisdom within me to make some moves, choices and decisions without needing to have the hand of God in all of it!!!! Wouldn't God want me to be that independent as not being so needy.

I wish people would speak of their own abilities and the very possibility that what has occurred is because of something they created or didn't. The mere fact that they lean so heavily on God and don't believe in themselves is difficult at least and perplexing at best!

I'm with you guys too. I'm not a Christian, and although I feel everyone is entitled to their beliefs, it's inappropriate to mention God in in every post! I find it really hard to take. There's the Widow and Widowers of Faith board where they can post. I don't like people pushing their belief systems on me!

Absolutely agree! That's why this secular site was created. No need to continue to be angry about others' intent and desire to rescue you with their God. We are safe here!

A hearty thank you to the founder of this group for giving a safe place to express ourselves without dragging religious belief (and conflicting ones at that) into every post. Phew! Nice to have a breathe of fresh air here

Well said . . a nice breath of fresh air here! Let's all take a deep breath and forget about the rest. Breathe in and breathe out. In with the positives, out with the negatives. Know we are "safe" and in a no judgement zone here. Feel free to express emotion without being preached to on this site. One of the most awesome things about the secular group, (not that we don't believe in something/ourselves, or even a higher being) . . we simply don't want to be sheeple herded into a one-thought system of a one-God. Doesn't work for us . . and that's okay. We are free to express all . . whatever that may be.

LMAO Roz . . . we're not gonna get in trouble. Remember your mantra . . . "get in and keep your mouth shut"! ha ha Love it. Oh, I'll talk alright, but I'm done with the drama on DSWW main board. Please dear baby Jesus, give me the strength to not open my mouth when I've had a drink or two and am trying to quit smoking! I swear we should have breathalizers on our phones and computers!! :)

Are you still smoking? What the hell!!!! Don't you know that stuff will kill you faster than a porcupine slowly inching up your butt!

I know how hard it is to quit. I was a smoker for many years and so was Morey. There is no easy way to do it. I had to get a grandchild in order for me to quit. I couldn't, in good conscience, light up a cig. and look into his eyes. Guilt is a wonderful thing!

I thought for sure that once you moved to MT and couldn't duck outside for a smoke, because you'd freeze your tush off, you'd be forced to quit.

I found sugar.......it's become my high. Unfortunately, it also became my double chin! So, I'm trying to quit that and I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to quit that sugar high!!!!

Love you no matter what you're addicted to!
