After I'd been studying Silver RavenWolf's "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" for awhile, I got to the chapter on building your name. The chosen name should reflect something of important value.
My Wiccan name is Toni~AyniaNightFish. The first part, Toni, is my given-at-birth name. The last two parts of my name reflect who I am, being a Pisces and all, and the time of day where often significant things in my life have occured, Night. The next part, Aynia, came to me through one of my tools. Sometimes, when I'm looking for an answer on something, I'll grab a book, hold it spine down in front of me, close my eyes, then slowly open the book, and look at the page it has opened to.
Aynia, according to the book I was reading at the time, is the darker aspect of the Tripe Celtic Goddess, representing death, change, rebirth. I found this name to be right for me and gratefully accepted Divinity's guidance toward this name. :)

Thanks for the help. I am happy to say I have finaly found it, it has been in my mind since I was 10. When I was 10, the same time I started studdying Wicca, I had come up with the name Belladonna not knowing it was already a name. I am happy to say that it is now also my name.

i want a really cool wicca name but the thing is iv read so much and theres sooooooooooooo many names out there i just cant decide.

name chosing should be privite., I have both a secret name and a pagan name that also represents my believes, my pagan name is valkyrie -a Warrior Goddess that aids fallen Warriors to the War halls of Valhalla; who also fight with strength and conviction as strong as the Warriors they fight along side.

Hello, my name just came to me when i was in meditation one day, Aaea, "A-say-a" it not about being cool or even picking one, when your meant to have one it will be given to you. :)

is it wrong or does it make me a bad witch if i don't want a witch-name? I know they're tradition but I don't like them and I don't want one. I guess everyone does their own thing I guess. Eclectic Wicca. right. Perhaps later down the path one will come to me and I will feel like it's the right time but I don't feel like it's the right time yet for me.
