I have to agree with you.... We are far more fascist than anyone in this country would like to admit. That is why we are working towards change. There is only a handful of us right now and one of our crew just had a minor setback over the internet, a blog and just what you are saying right here.... So he is currently incommunicado other than text messaging and phone calls.

My husband is a web developer, still currently incarcerated will be released in June of next year. The web is his career and his life, the crime he was convicted of didn't even involve a computer, but they are going to hammer on him just like they do on you and probably try to make him switch careers just because they fear what they do not understand.

Thanks for the reply! I wish you and your husband luck. We do need change! I myself was convicted over twenty years ago for a crime I did not do. I know ! Every one says that ! If you are charged with a sex crime you are guilty until proven not to be. If you are acussed of an assult But DNA is not involved becouse the victum made the claim weeks or months later. And there is no witness. Then its your word against them. The court dont care if its a stepchild who hates you. Unless you can prove its a lie or they admit it , your screwed! And once the claim is made they dont take it back becouse then they would go to jail for making falce claims and reports or pergar themself in court.

The DA offered me 10 years in prison if I went to court and lost or 9 months in county jail and three years probation if I pled no contest . My public defender told me he did not think I was telling the truth, and that a jury also would not and if I went to trial I was going to prison for a long time. I took the deal !

I spent six months in jail. Got time off for good conduct. I Did my 3 year probation and 300 hours of community service plus 300 more That I did not have to do ...but I did just to keep my probation officer happy. Made it easy for him to keep track of what I was doing.

Three years late completed my probation. Proation officer told me I was one of the best he ever had to work with becouse I never missed an appointment and did eveyhing I was told and never once screwed up.

I was free at last ! NOT !

Almost two years later I was told by a freind about the then new sex offender registry. That dont appIy to me I told him. I was convicted years ago. Anyway I have never got any notice of this. Then one day a few months later the cops are at my door. I am under arrest for failier to compliy with sex offender registry laws. I was thinking this must be a mistake? I did my time,I paid my dues? No body told me I had to register?
Long story short... I spent three days in jail and my two dogs starved and pooped and peed all over the house all weekend. After paying my lawyer and gas ,time and the pain in the ass of it after two months the judge dismissed the states case. It was not my fult I never got the noice. I had moved since my probation ended and was not required to keep the department of corrections up to date on my where abouts.

But I had to comply with the registry form then on.
I have had to..

1. Tell them where if live.
2. who I work for.
3. If I go to school and where and when.
4. What I drive and plate numbers. Sex offenders will soon have pates of an identifing color. This is in the works. This will include (as his wife) your car.
5. Every few years I get a notice to report to the police station so they can take a current photo of me. I have to do this when and where they say , its not by appointment. If I dont I go to jail.
6. Now all offenders are required to pay a yearly $100 fee to the registry. Since we have no choice becouse we have to be registered or go to jail this is nothing more than a yearly fine for life or some of us. We never got a day in court before this lifetime fine was imposed on us? And what is to stop them from inceasing it forever?
7. Last year I was required to submit DNA to them as all felons are now required to do. Again I have not commited any crime? I am not a suspect in any crime! But becouse I was charged with a felony over twenty years ago I have to comply or go to jail.

8. Now they want me to provide them with all my online usernames , IDs, accounts and any websites I have.

I have not hurt anyone! But in the last five years I have atempted to kill myself atleast seven times.
Why? Bcouse this world is bullsht ! Is it going to change ? Human histoy tells me the answar is not!

In this world a lot of people go hungry ,sufer and die every day. So who am I to complain about my problms? I am no one! Just a number! Like You !!

What I can tell you is that you are not alone... You are one of thousands across the country that have been scooped up and dumped in the barrel ex post facto. My co-organizer of our group here in WI was retroactively put on Lifetime GPS supervision.

The issue with the colored license plates came up a while ago and I haven't seen it get much ground since because the trend now across the country is that all that will do is cause vigilante behavior vs protecting anyone. The registry is starting to get that reputation as well just not enough yet.

Right now laws that pertain exclusively to sex offenders have not been introduced in either house or is sitting in committee right now. There are some general prisoner and Act 28 issues that are going on, but with the current climate and financial issues that are the hot issues in government right now, "public safety" issues are not needed as much for their political gain. Granted this is only here in WI right now, but that can change at anytime.

We are always looking for volunteers or people to just write letters to their local representatives and to just not be quiet to the injustice that is happening to all of us, offenders, spouses, children, parents, family and friends. The collateral damage is extensive and severe.

Hang in there, we are all in this together... Now all we need to do is just stand together, all of us... including the collateral damage, we will soon outnumber everyone else... for 1 in 99 males above the age of 18 are on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry and that ratio shrinks every week.

Sorry my last post was so depresing! I had a bad day. The people across the street just found out I am a sex offender and now want nothing more to do with me. I was a freind but now I am dead to them.

1 in 99 males. wow! The number is that large? The number of people whos lives are affected by this must be huge. But yet offenders are an easy target when they want to make their recored on crime look good for political gain.

I hope they dont do the thing with the license plates. I agree it would cause vigilante behavior. At the very least alot of damage to offenders cars. I would not be suprised if some got run off the road or shot at.
I read storys all the time about vigilante people who commit crimes against offenders. Like the man who open his front door and was shot in the face by a guy who did not want a sex offender on his block. The problem was the offender had moved out and this man and his wife and two kids just moved in the week before. Some offenders need to be on the registry. But for most offenders I think it puts us and our familys at risk and does more harm than good.

We all have bad days, I know I get them, more frequently now than I used to. I haven't seen anything on the license plate bill in a couple of years. I personally believe that the politicians and some judges are beginning to see the folly that are these laws. The public is always the last to learn it seems. They never see the big picture because they are too self-involved in their own life to see that what they fear is the very few registrants rather than the whole lot of them.

For instance where I live there are at least 3 RSOs living within 2-3 miles of me and more intown. Never noticed until it started happening to, at the time, my best friend, now my husband. That was 6 years ago now. The more I read the more angry I became, the more I discovered that there was this blanket approach that obviously is only letting those that are in need of a great deal of help to slip through the cracks.

People seem to forget that they are the government, that the money spent on these things is coming out of their pockets and that it isn't providing them one shred of safety or their children. In fact just yesterday there was an article about a 6 yr old boy being charged for sexual assault of a 5 yr old girl, they were playing "Doctor". That is how much these laws are protecting the innocent. This time the State is the molester and the boy is going to be a victim for the rest of his life. For that matter so is the little girl.

Things like that remind me of the movie that was based on a true story called "Murder in the First", about the young man that robbed a General Store, but because it doubled as a Post Office, it became a Federal Crime. Because it was Robbery he was considered violent, so they sent him to Alkatraz, he came out a murderer. It was found, I believe, that the institution made him into that murderer.

Making decent men "sex offenders" even if they positively are NOT guilty causes many detrimental effects on them and society.

If these people are shunned, beat up, refused jobs or places to live, what is the recourse??? They will turn to crime to survive, or become alcoholics or drug addicts, because the depression level is so bad. If they lose their will to thrive those things will happen. I have witnessed it firsthand. When people believe the worst in you, and no matter what you do, you can't convince them otherwise, eventually you will do things out of anger, spite or desperation.

These laws are causing SO MANY bad things to happen TO the sex offender, and because they do, that person MAY resort to things he wouldn't of otherwise.

What's acutally funny is people that hate these people, judge them, do awful things to them, and then they or someone they know is accused wrongly of sexual misconduct type things. All of a sudden its personal, and they now get it, but that doesn't take away from what they said or did to the sex offenders before.

Yes there are definitely child molestors out there. Yes there are rapists. But only if it is clearly and purely a bonafide, substantiated by fact and witness should that person be punished for it. Anyone can accuse someone of something heinous like a sexual assault, doesn't make it true. We could accuse a judge, senator, cop, whatever of it. It wouldn't make it true, but I can bet you that only if it were to get on the news would there be anything happening with that. Those people would shut it up right away.

Usually its your average guy who just doesn't want some woman anymore, she has a daughter, so she accuses him of molesting her daughter, because she can't have him anymore. Or some sick person like a parent of a teenage daughter who knew her daughter was having sex with some boy, they did nothing about it, liked him, but they get mad at him, or he breaks up with the daughter, so all of a sudden they accuse him of this, and there goes those guy's lives. Most sex offender's only have that label because of some vindictive bitch who has lied.

The person I knew wouldn't sign over parental rights of his son so the mother could let her new husband adopt the boy. So she accused him of molesting her daughter THREE years earlier, and the cops believed her. In the first place why would a mother wait THREE years. To top it off, supposedly him and her were sleeping in a bed, the daughter crawled in with them, and he supposedly molested the young girl over the sleeping mom's body. Like she wouldn't of woke up and felt that going on. And the cops believed it. Hell, the judge didn't believe it, but still let it go as far as convicting him.

No one is safe from these accusations. People better start realizing that.

So true! I got drunk and crashed my car into a tree becouse I was falsely acused by a vindictive ex girfreind and her daughter. And after serving my time I knew I would never get my life back. So I gave up on life. And I started to drink alot becouse I just did not care anymore about anything. I had nothing to live for. One day I got real drunk on shots of brandy becouse a woman I was dating and was falling in love with dumped me after I told her I was charged as a sex offender. How can you tell someone somthing like that on a first date? On our third date we started to get closer. I kissed her on the cheak at the end of our secound date. But now on our third date she wanted to make out. So after we kissed on the mouth twice I felt that I should tell her what my story was. Before things went any further.

She demanded that I take her home and that I never call her again. She explained to me that it did not matter if I was inoccent or not. She could not and would not ever be involved with someone like me. What would people think?

I went home and called people I was thinking of as freinds. No one answered or was home.
So I went to our local bar that we hangout at the time. One freind was there but he blew me off big time and did not want to talk to me becouse he was talking to a nice looking chick.

A few hours later drunk as hell I see this tree and decide why stay on the road? Why not just hit it and put myself out of my missery?

Some times I still wish I died that night!

I sit day after day disabled and on SSI income. I cant do the constrution work I did as a younger man .After the crash.
Who would hire me anyways?

I am all alone and have nothing to look forward to or live for.
But I would never harm or hurt anyone. But I fear that one of us out cast is some day going to snap and take a lot of good people out with them.
Have we gained nothing from all the school shootings by students that did not feel like anybody cared and felt like outcast and got bullied and then just said fucx it I just dont care anymore and snaped?

You are more than correct when you say that they are creating a class of 'less than human' people according to the public opinion... This is the same thing that the Nazis did when they were first starting to round up the Jews... They also did that to people that contradicted their opinions too. so if you didn't believe in their 'way of thinking' they carted you off to the same camps as the Jews.

The bully analogy is also very correct in the way that people behave... There was a school that had a group of teens bully a kid to suicide... when a group of students wanted a vacant seat kept for the child that took their own life because of the bullying of others... You know what the school said after they said "NO"? Their explanation was that it would be offensive to the bullies! Yes they said that... that it would be offensive to the Bullies. Incredulous.

The only way to change these laws is for the people that aren't offenders start kinda crying "VICITM" to the persecution of the laws. Married people and children are the most effective... The children especially, these laws were all voted into place to PROTECT children... not to get them harrassed and bullied... And as proven by that school, they will protect those bullies before they will protect the innocent child.... What does that make them?

That reminds me of this border town down in new mexico. The mexican people of the town demanded
that the american flag be taken out of the classrooms of the school. Why? Becouse it offended the mexican
kids in the school and so did not want to plege to it each day of school. Last time I checked New Mexico was
part of the united states? Dont like it? Then go back to mexico ! If you love your mexico so much then why
did you come to the USA? No one says a word when you drive around in your cars and trucks waving the mexican flag or when you have it covering your back window of your truck? Maybe that offends me! Maybe

I just looked at the map of all the sex offenders in Green Bay. Wow! It looks like a jackson Pollik painting.
Soon one will be on every block. If it showed everyone who was convicted of a crime, robbery,shoplifting,
B and E, battery, drunk driving, domestic violance, drugs and so on.... I dont think you could make out the streets behind all the markers. Law inforcment and prisons are now big biz for our government.

Thay want to control us all. We are just animals to them! Anyone convicted of a crime is now controled.
It dont matter if you are off probation or parole or not. You will submit to them or go back to prison on some lame ass charge as a repeat offender. Example: Failure to comply with the sex offender registry. You did not pay your $100 annual offender registry fee. Why? You live at the homeless shelter, you have no job, no one will hire you. You have NO money. Where do you get $100 ??? Steal it ? No one is going to loan it to you ! You risk going back to prison one way or the other. Thay want to keep the prisons at max capacity so
that thay can keep getting more tax payer money and expanding the police state and again more power over us animals.

Don't forget the spouses that they extort the money out of if the offender can't pay... remember WI is a common property state which seems to apply to all things felonies included... So the 'state' will get their money, if it takes extorting it out of the spouse... and they wonder why there is such a 'revolving door' on the DOC institutions. Because they force it to be that way...

Personally I believe all government has to go... vote them out, every last one of them and keep doing that until they straighten up and do their jobs... term limts... and only one term per person until they can get their shit together.

Companys and corparations always spend money to place ADs or go to employment agents or head hunters to find new employees. The government spends million each year sending aid to other nations and on defence.
Why cant the government spend money to get the best man for the highest office in the land? Main stream media is regulated by the FCC, so the FCC should just tell the networks that every four years you have to give a given and equal amount of free airtime to ANY canadate running. And no one can buy more airtime for them.
Once in office all of them ,President, congrassman, senetor, must have a yearly report card. Becouse if you have done things that help the banks and corprate intrest you will be prosecuted and publicly hanged if found
