A sustainable diet/life style. In July I had some blood work done and my doctor put the fear of God into me. I wanted to loose weight but this time it has to be sustainable. That is even when the weight is gone I can maintain my weight and not feel restricted or deprived. These are the three loosly written rules I applied. Portion control, exercise, and very limited eating out. I also took a good look at the kinds of fats I was eating and ate fruits and vegtables at every meal. lost 40 pounds over 4 months and my bloodwork came back all normal.Holy cow did I feel better. BTW my exercise was walking while pushing my grandbaby in a stroller. Well the holidays came and I really blew it. I am hoping to get back to reasonable healthy living. I made some bad choices because I am an emotional eater. My eating habits were going to kill me. I do not want to die so it is onward into 2013. Good luck to everybody.
