As I have told you previously I have Cirrhosis of the liver from a genetic defect. I have also have told you that I have lost 35 lbs in a short time.Your need for a new liver is judged by what is called a MELD score. At a score of 15 I would go on the transplant list after required weight loss. Six months ago I was very close to that with a score of 13. Yester day I saw my liver specialist. With weight loss and exercise I have improved my situation and Meld score.I am down to a score of 9!!!!!!!!!I still have a lot of work to do but I am improving my situation every day. I was given clearence from my liver doctor for a lap band and will have surgery on the 18th of this month. I am still working toward lifting weights and running like I did when I was younger.I think my healthy life style and marathon are well within reach. The plan is to run it in about 5 yrs. I see further success and wellness coming soon. Thanks for reading my story. Gene Add Reply: Cancel Email me when others reply to this topic? My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!!!!!
