Vulvar Cancer Support Group
Cancer of the vulva (also known as vulvar cancer) most often affects the inner edges of the labia majora or the labia minora. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with vulvar cancer, use this community to talk about your experiences and gain support through other people going through a similar struggle. You're not alone

I don't know if it's rare or not, but people don't like to talk about it and so there isn't a lot of information out there.
I have tested negative for HPV but still got the cancer.
I couldn't imagine going through this without a sensitive team of medical professionals.
You can get the love and support here. Stay positive. hugs
Thank you for the kind, sincere, replies. I had surgery on March 1st to remove the cancer. I won't know for a few weeks if my lymph nodes are involved but the Dr. is 90 % sure c/o frozen section testing at the time of my surgery that they are not. I am home healing and relieved that the cancer has been removed because the deeper it grows the more it spreads. I am amazed at the clean job the Dr. did removing all the cancer and precancerous spots. She stitched it all up with one tidy line in the center of things. I was afraid to look because it felt strange but was relieved at what I found. I was informed that this cancer will possibly return but I am confident that it will be removed and that I will be ok. I was not prepared for the grieving that takes place though...it comes in waves of anger, sadness, feeling alone, but these feelings are manageable and I feel it is helpful to share that because when this cancer strikes it brings with it many unpleasantries. I hope my words help someone, I know your words have helped me. Thank you & God Bless you
Danielle
Although the wound healed up nicely, for some reason I still carry terrible pain and I believe it must have activated some nerves that were quiet before, possibly related to my fibromyalgia.
