Like any surgery you won't be awake and I was sent home the same day about 7 hrs after the surgery. Make sure whomever takes you is willing to make frequent rest stops. They fill you up with IV liquids and I had to stop and pee twice before I got home.
They told me I didn't have any packing and that was a lie. Afraid to touch the area for the first couple of days it wasn't until the packing turned to cardboard consistency and caused irritation before I figured out what was going on.
Hope everything turns out OK. I know I was scared out of my mind and was lucky to have my daughter with me.
