I know this seems far-fetched, but people under any addiction: drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. all exhibit changes to personality such as a lack of temperateness, mood swings, and lashing out. The more an addict goes through unwillful withdraws, the more extreme his symptoms.

Even though I feel hurt & neglected by his actions toward me & my children, I still feel for him & see his dire need for help. I may not be able to help him, but I may be able to help someone else help him get steered in the right direction. We may not make it together, but I still love & care for his heart & soul & it saddens me to see him possessed by this demon of addiction.
