If it's new games you're having trouble with, I'd recommend cutting back on the amount you buy. Maybe buy one at the end of a big project or something. But, yes, that's 3-4 days you'll never see again, so it's better to save to file and spread it out. I know there's huge anticipation to find out what happens next, but, in the end, it is just a game. It's very hard to do that with a good game, but, believe me, it does make the time you do get to play nearly twice as good (especially without sore eyes, a half-dead brain and a growling tummy.)
If day-to-day play is a problem, I would recommend writing down how many hours you play at the end of each day. (Keeping a piece of paper and a pen beside bed helps prevent 'tiiired-do-it-tomorrowitis'). If at the end of the week the answer shocks you, it's time for action.
