I still kept 2 games on my computer, but theyre games I dont feel drawn to play all the time. Im comfortable playing a game or two of sc, and than going about my day.
This is my safe zone ive decided, the middle ground between entertainment, and real life.
Ive also started working on some projects I always said I wanted to do. In my free time I paint, and build things, so now Im working on taking old clippings and such from tattoo, music, and extreme sports magazines, and attaching them to word furniture. I always thought it would look cool, and Im in the middle of doing a bookshelf in that style right now.
Just stopped to give y'all a status report.
It was weird last night not to have WOW to play, or halo 2, or anything like that. I got mild anxiety realizing none of them existed in my personal world anymore.
but its all a step in the right direction.
It's easy to say that you've quit, but any addiction keeps a hold on you for quite a while. If you keep engaging yourself with the real world, though, I find that things tend to heal themself.
