I Been Apart Of Daily Strenght For 5 Years Last Month. I Came Here Is So Much Pain I Couldn't Think Straight. I Even Went Through Stages When I Thought I Was Better Just To Be Slammed By Something Else.

The Sting Of Dealing With A Disordered Person Seem To Be Always There. I Actually Got Tired Of Formulas To Wholeness, Or Reading Article On How Others Got Free. I Got Tired Hearing About It Honestly.

Well I Can Say: I Never Thought This Day Would Come That I'm Completely Free From The Sting Of It. Yes It Comes To Mind But Thats The Extent Of It. I Never Thought My Life Would Be Meaningful Again. Now I Have Been Consumed With Making My Life Happen.

I Sleep Good. Im More Social. I Actually Hang Out With New People.

So good to hear. I am going through a few things right now, but I keep telling myself that this will pass. I am getting more active again on DS and hoping to reconnect with longtime friends and meet a few new ones.

That is GREAT news, I am so glad to hear this. The key now is to not let yourself fall back into the old place. Learn to recognize the signs, and talk yourself through it. I have gotten good at saying things like "Robby, you know your just getting depressed, and that's not what happened. Get your head on straight stupid before you let this consume you", or "You idiot, that's not what he meant and you know it, pull yourself together before you fall apart again"., and other such stuff. Yes, I do call myself stupid, and an idiot etc.... but it's a way of making myself realize that I'm not thinking straight more than a picture of what I think of myself. It works for me, you have to find what works for you, but I know you can do it.

So glad to hear you are doing so well, IWA. This is a huge victory. Maybe you can take yourself out to dinner, and find some other way to celebrate. Just a thought.

I can't believe it's already been 5 years. That's half a decade! Congratulations to you for sticking around for so long and turning your life around! I hope you will keep on your journey. I think that learning to be happy and healthy is a lifelong process, and it's always possible to improve.
