Thanks for sharing! :) it is really about them and not anything wrong with us and our perception. We should stay true to out own truth and not let they define out truth.

I believe, and my truth is, that love is everything or its nothing. And its certainly not how my exS treats me.

It was a revelation to me when I discovered that simple truth...when someone is being abusive toward me, it's not about me at all. It's about them...their problems, their issues, their inability to relate with others. That was the beginning of my awakening. After that, things gradually started falling into the places where they belonged...and I regained a realistic picture of myself.

Eventually I realized that I wasn't weak like they said I was...they were.

Thankyou richyd, I have been reading some past entrys and read the one about how they (the abusive) were reacting out of their emotional problems. Not Bc of us or how we were but Bc of their twisted crap. It occurred to me that I can look at one other thing differently. When people thought I was my sister (by her design) and would verbally attack me or treat me in an unkind way. I can now see that it wasn't me that was being attacked it was her. Bc she was the one that angered them. I was just manipulated into place so I would get the punichment.
that it wasn't me they were angery with it was her. This line of thought has given me the ability to let go of so many painfully memories. This happened so much when we were young and I used to think I somehow unknowingly was doing something wrong.I just couldn't figure it out. I felt it was me and consequently my conifidence was distroyed.
