Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
Trying to explain to people the subject of psychopaths/sociopaths is like trying to get them to believe in unicorns.
Even after someone has been dumped on; kicked around; cheated on; used for money... they still are like a deer in headlights so I just need to vent today.
I have a friend who I'm pretty positive was married to a guy on the narcissism spectrum. He's a habitual liar... he has a major porn & sex addiction... he only wanted my friend around when she was a miserable lump or when she finally had money... he owes more than $20K in child support arrears... he can't keep a job for more than a year or two at a time.... he married wife #2 only 6 months after meeting her online... he threatened to go for full custody of my friend's son, went through all the court maneuvers and put her through hell, then never showed up for court.... after their divorce, he really only talked to my friend when he was pissed off and was yelling at her or when his 2nd wife left him... and the list goes on.
So this friend read my blog and said major bells were ringing, but still doesn't think the profile fits this douche.
Total denial, even after her 6-yr old son came home crying because during his visit with good ol' dad, he yelled at him to shut up.
Her son is a remarkable boy --- and I'm beyond concerned for his future.
Anyway, the suspected N/S/P ex got dumped by wife #2 who went full no contact and changed all her contact info (so proud of her!)
Guess whose life he's back in now?????
And she doesn't see this!!!
I'm so exhausted with trying to "save" people. Adults can make their own dumb choices but I feel so horrible for the kids involved who don't understand or get a say in this.

I remember one of my breaking points......pride helped me a lot in this. He lived with me for 8 months and he worked 10 days in those months. So I was telling him to move out because he was using me. So he was screaming and mocking me :" Oh you will tell everyone "he is using me, he is using me" like your ex boyfriend". Pride start to build up at that point.
Honestly I never liked my pride because I am too proud sometimes or stubborn maybe, I right now it's the one that don't make me answer to his calls.
From my point of you to have an experience with a P it's a great opportunity to test our self esteem. Because I think most of the P victims have a low self esteem by nature or when they come in a relationship with a P. It's a very good opportunity to choose YOU instead to choose to be abused.
