They vanish or move on if they know their victims are not useful to them in any way anymore. If they still think they can use their victims in some way they will return, I think. Maybe in the meantime when they are gone they might come back months or years after having thought out other tactics and ways to try use us further.

I think sociopaths live in the here and now, if they have other victims lines up they may not think of us very much or not at all, not until they are empty of supply, then we might pop up in their mind to see if they can use us more, to test the waters, to see if things/the victim has changed and trying to see if they can use us in other ways. I dont know, but maybe. Or they think most likely they can just continue where it ended when they vanished and/or dumped us, like nothing has happened.

I dont think we can do so much explaining to others, I think also people will come to see the sociopaths for who they are with time. And if I would try not bother, you know who you are. I know its tempting and frustrating when people have told lies about you. I dont know what advice to give. I think others are better at answering you since I have not experienced slander, at least not yet or that I know about. And if he did, I would try not care as I know who I am and I know who he is. The rest can think what they want.

sorry..I mean I would try not to bother..you know who you are. But I know its tempting to explain people that lies were told. Hopefully people will see for themselves by time or be little clever and not believe everything they hear.

It's awful - like they don't do enough damage in the relationship - they then have to continue the damage with telling lies about you.

I grew tired of having to defend myself. With the first one I had no idea - but he went on his hate campaign pretty early on and made sure I was isolated from my own social network, or tried to, strike one, then strike two then strike three :(

yep but psychopaths are very manipulative liars and they believe their own lies and dream world they create, they can make anyone into any character and any situation according to what is best for their lies. they paint a picture of reality that best suites their plan even if its opposite from true and the difficult thing is usually it is by twisting the truth around so the re is 1 percent truth in their lies so you 2nd guess yourself ,then they get pity from everyone around them and tons of hatred and enemies to you.because your made out to be a villian who needs to get taken down and they get their friends to help them destroy the villian. but the villian is really the victim. they use pity to get others to hate you and want to destroy you , while they pretend to be hurt and need to heal from the terror you put them through.even tho in reality you did nothing besides be gulible and attempt to be nice

ok i readi it ,i wonder still if thereis anything to do to prove that your not what he tells people you are.to be known for you and not have lies about you because a lie against a person dosnt only damage that person it ruins everything and everyone around them. false ideas of reality is slander againts god not only against the victim

because people lose faith in humanity when reality is changed around,they think good people suddenly becoming evil.when they are good people still who were in the wrong place wrong time and ticked off a personality disordered jealous person. i dont even want to hate a person who did wrong , i dont even care if they are psychopath or mentally ill or having a mid life crises or whatever but i do deserve respect that even a stranger has .not every0ne will like you or hate you, you cant make everyone happy but you dont have to terrorize and go out of your way to bully people.psychopqths have no concept of respect or they dont care. not everyone you date will marry you rejection is part of dating and you donthave to terrorize someone and get evryone against them just beccause they rejected you or they didnt turn out to be the perfect one for you. act like a human being , be polite and tell them bye, get closure and move on but these psychopaths go on this terror campaigni instead of saying sorry it didnt work out best of luck hope you find someone compatible for you etc.. i dont even understand bad break ups but thats me, rejection by itself dosnt hurt me much, so i could probably be the type of person who dated a coworker they see every day at work. everyone reacts differently some people remain friends with their ex or even get invited to their future wedding but some people cannot bear to even say hello to that person ever again or avoid them by moving 5 states away which i dont understand why hate or block away someone just because they broke up with you. but if youre ex boyfriend was a psychopath then for your own sanity then you have to avoid them.
