Spent most of this evening ,, Drinking with some of the guys whom have defended our Country over the last few years ,,We need to go by a few more rounds of Amunition ,, Just an after thought ,, This is a different War ran by Different people , For reasons I don't understand ,,Didn't understand to much about my War ,, I was 17&1/2 Both parents had just passed I was full of John Wayne And Audie Murphy ,, I was allmost as tall as John Wayne ,,And a lot Taller than Audie Murphy ,, Hate to leave a story half done ,, Only got half drunk ,,Oh to go back to the start the only thing they Bitched about was the price they had to pay for Clothes ,, They gave me mine ,,Ha Ha Ha

Back in my Marine Corps... they gave us the original issue and then we had to pay out of pocket to maintain it. But I don't remember ever drinking over it. Coming in nine or ten years after a war starts probably leaves some grey rememberances. All the wars I was in have already been forgotten.

YEAH BUT WEREN'T THE COLORS AWFUL LIGHTNIN. I DON'T LIKE GREEN TO THIS DAY UNLESS IT IS ON MONEY.

Green? How about all white, or all black, or blue shirt and blue dungerees? While I was "over there" at the beginning, I always felt lucky to have left just as things were heating up. My initial issue of a uniform was in boot camp. Air Force boot camp. Brown. Always brown. And that ugly Air Force dress uniform. Ugly. Navy dress was nicer.

Stark white is tough for me to handle----the nursing uniforms were Horrible!!!!!!

I just hate having to maintain so many uniforms in the navy. It suck. Dress blues, Dress White, Working Blues, Working Whites, dungerees, Paints, skrits, coveralls, dester camo, forest camo, flight deck gear, peacoat, raincoat, IKE jacket and Pt gear. I was a pain in the but to keep track of what condsion the unforms were in if they still fit and if they had the right rank too. Then you have to pack this all under your rack or in a small locker in your berth. After that you may have room for two civilan out fits that had to have a collar shrit and no hole in your paints and no strings hagging off the botton of the leg and of couse you need a belt but It can not be from you unfioms.

Now they only have dress blue and wihite, Kike top/ navy blue paints, digity blue camos, and flight deck gear.

yeah that sounds nuts. we always did make fun of the sailors. it looked like they had a different uniform every day of the week. after you just listed all that, i can see why!
