If you did have to explain for any reason your food requirements you can simply say you don't eat any meat.
I've heard people say it as "anything with a face" or whatever.
I find labels to be confusing for myself and others because of those types of expectations.
Your main concern is animal rights, so you probably know the dairy industry contributes to abuse, too.
Your diet doesn't seem very healthy, but it could probably be better with just a few sims changes.
I just tell people I don't eat animal products. Most don't really want to talk about it.
I like labels when they are accurate, which is why I came to the idea that vegetarian simply was not accurate.
From now on I am going to try to make my label as = I do not eat animals.
As to potatoes then I grew up with Irish roots so we loved and lived on potatoes, but when I gave up meat then I found out that fried potatoes are not the same flavor as when fried in pig fat - lard.
So I keep trying to like potatoes and I do not find potatoes to be very palatable. So now I do like hash browns and a thing called perogies which are potato in noodle wrapping, and a baked potato gets smothered in margarine and salt and sour cream so that does not happen very often with me.
I do know that cheese is hurting the cows and I do know that it makes me as doing wrong and I do confess my guilt but I can not find any substitute for cheese and I admit my defeat in cheese. A big thing about cheese is that I use to be unable to go out with friends or even on a date to a restaurant because they had nothing vegan, so I decided to accept the cheese as a compromise and I became compromised ever after.
As to the health of my diet then the reason that I changed at the age of 40 (18 years ago) was because of the violence against animals, and as such then I am not doing this for my own health, and so I accept that if my health is hurt then so be it because I am never going to eat animals ever again no matter if it kills me or if it makes me sickly or whatever. Also I see that as another reason why I am not a vegetarian because I am only against the eating of animals.
Most people I talk to about giving up cheese have used things like spices, vinegars and nutritional yeast to help them stop using it.
If you are a picky eater I can see how difficult it would be to eat this way.
