By choosing to be vegetarian you have chosen the higher way of life, while most people stay stuck on the low road where they disregard the pain and hurts that they do in this world.
As such it is always a bit lonely and isolating but it is so worth doing and so rewarding in other ways.
The other people can not empathize nor sympathize with you or with us as vegetarian in the same way that they can not care about the dead carcass on their dinner plate.
I really have come to the conclusion that in order to truly care about other people then we must first care about the animals and about our daily food, because being blind to cruelty and injustice is what they do.
You have chosen the road of a leader, and the very best leaders will always stand alone against adversity, and so when you go to a group of vegetarians then recognize that you are sitting among the mighty.
