Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is made in a lab as iis ammonium bicarbnoate. I don't see any instance of it coming from an animal.

ammonia, carbon dioxide and water are easy to obtain and animal horns, not so much plus are costly.
no way they use them in process anymore. the article says that it used to be made using animals.
