I am the caregiver of a 50 year old disabled man who suffers from syncope. His episodes are getting more frequent and severe that I fear one day I will not be able to bring him around. He is on 250mg of Lamictil (for his bipolar/depression) but doctors say it also helps with seizures. His episodes are usually triggered by eating or drinking so choking is a constant concern. Is there any other treatment that his doctors are overlooking that can reduce the frequency of these episodes? I'm afraid one day while I'm running errands he will eat something, have an episode, and I will come home to find him dead on the floor! I'm at my whits end! any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Lots of sea salt, lots of fluids--especially coconut water and smart water/vitamin water/gatorade for electrolytes and retaining fluid. And tell him if he feels dizzy, to try tightening calf muscles or squeezing a fist in short pumps.

adding a salt packet to 20oz of Gatorade should help with it. If he feels light headed, he should lay down to prevent the blood from pooling.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
