Purpura looked terrible! Got it from my knee to feet on both. Terrible pain to walk, as I was diagnoised with arthritis first, then Polyarteritis Nodosa.
Put on Prednisone for 6 months with antibiotics daily. Had chemo (Cytoxan)for 6 treatments, once a month. Had to go for wound therapy, since some purpura turned to sores. Took 4 months of applying ointment nightly before all sores healed. Got little low on iron, took Ferrous sulfate & B12. Felt better by December 2012. Now on Cellcept 500mg twice daily. I noticed my r/foot and hand are a little swollen in morning. Doc thinks it's my arthritis. We will see, since all this illness came on suddenly without my notice of pain in knees. Keep the spirit to fight this illness!!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with the purpura. I had that earlier this summer (both legs, as you described) but it only lasted a few days and didn't really cause any discomfort. Anyway, just wanted to tell you I hope you're now doing better!

I went to the doctor a while ago to see about my allergies. He rubbed my arm and stuck things under the skin. Nothing. He poked and prodded, his phlebotomist drew so much blood people thought that we were dating. The tests all came back negative. Then one day I went back and I told him that I had found the cause of my allergy. It turns out, I am allergic to betrayal.

This isn't really bipolar related but there is never anyone on the parenting groups, this is the most active group I've been in.My 6yr old son has really bad seasonal allergies and they're in full force right now. He gets a terrible cough; he coughs all day and all night, making it hard for him to sleep, and his nose runs.I've tried every allergy medicine, OTC and RX, and none of them affect his...
