Hi, I am just getting fed up with the ache from the veins in my leg. What do the Doctors do to get rid of the vein pain ect. Is it scarry? I am a coward but its hurting. Any Advice Welcome.

My doctor sent me off for artery scans then vein scans. My suphaneous veins were useless so I had the choice of 'vein stripping' or less invasive methods. I did the vein stripping as I am 68, live in the country and couldn't be bothered with a lot of appointments that other methods require. It worked well and my legs did look frightful afterwards but the pain level, I thought was minimal. They are only surface cuts really. It is best to get your scans done and then look at the treatment options at your leisure. Best wishes, Ruth
