Hi All,
I just joined, due to finding out that I may have endometrial cancer.
My GYN tried to do a biopsy, but was unsuccessful, so they did an ultrasound, and it showed thickening of the endo wall.
Next step, to rule out cancer, she sent me to an Oncologist. He wasn't able to do a biopsy either. I guess my cervix is way up there, and he said it would have been a very painful procedure, and he would rather do a D&C.
Had the D&C this past Friday. He couldn't do it!! And, said I will need a hysterectomy.
So, I'm scheduled to meet with him April 4th, but I called to see if we could at least get the Hysterectomy scheduled, and found out today, that they were able to set up surgery for April 8th.
He will be doing the Robotic Hysterectomy on me. I just lost 70 pounds, after having Gastric Bypass surgery, 3 months ago.
I have read some posts, and have some questions, but I'm wondering if anyone still posts on this group???
I will ck back tomorrow, to see if anyone "bites",, and then ask a few questions!

I was diagnosed in 2009 and received a diagnosis of stage IIIc uterine cancer. I completed chemo, radiation, and surgery and am still here - it's been 5 years!
I am healthy, working, and feel great.

I was diagnosed and treated (hysterectomy) last year and the ladies on that forum were life savers! I had SOOO many questions and they answered them all.
