The pads are not the problem..What is a major problem for me is the constant rash that forms like diaper rash..it itches a lot. I use tea tree oil to control the rash and sometimes wash down with listerine. I do not use any ready made wipes that you buy in the store. Llsterine mouthwash Original (yellow) works the best.

I have to use tape on diapers and I have found that the cloth backed ones cause me to break out but good plastic back ones do not. So much of getting rashes depends on the type of pad/diaper/nappy being used, the type of fluids one drinks or lack of drinking, and how often one changes after wetting. Everyone's skin is different and handles things differently too. When I have to use any cloth backed ones, I make sure I use diaper rash cream. When using the good plastic backed ones I don't have to use rash cream. These issues is something that everyone of us has to figure out and learn what works best for us.
