I am a 47 year-old male who was diagnosed last year with bladder urgency and urinary incontinence, due largely to diabetic neuropathy. Even though my health insurance has been covering the cost of my incontinence products, I have been very unhappy with the results.

I have tried mutliple combinations of adult diapers, pads, male guards, and boosters, and I have always had a big problem with leaks, particularly out the sides and leg cuffs. After a great deal of research, I was very excited to find the Unique Wellness website via a search engine recently.

I am curious to see if anyone else has tried the Unique Wellness briefs, or is using them on a regular basis. What do you think of the overall quality, fit, etc.? I thought I would share my honest opinions of these prodcuts, since I recently tried out some samples of them.

I decided to try out a free sample of the Wellness Superio brief. Though I have been using a large-sized adult diaper, I ordered a sample pack of the Superio brief in the extra-large size instead. A sample pack arrived via the US Postal service yesterday, after waiting four days in total for them to be shipped, which was fairly fast considering my location. The packaging was very plain and discreet, which was a big plus, in my opinion. The package contained two sample diapers, and a very helpful brochure with instructions for use inside.

I followed the instructions very carefully, ensuring that I opened the diaper correctly by standing up the leg cuffs, and fastening the tapes on the "clear landing zone" indicated in the instructions when putting the diaper on. The four tapes provided are re-attachable, but I was unsure how to re-attach them without ripping them off. I called customer service, however, and they were very helpful resolving this issue, so that I could ensure a proper fit.

The Superio is the classic white in color, and the "clear landing zone" indicated by the instructions, and in fact the entire front of the Superio brief, has a plastic outer covering. The rest of the diaper appears to have a cloth-like exterior.

There are four very sturdy adhesive tape tabs. The padding inside the diaper is quite substantial, though not overly thick. The double lycra leg-cuffs to prevent leaks are a very important feature that I believe really adds to the overall quality of the product. I must say that the Superio is much quuieter and less "crinkly" than the Wings Choice Classic diapers my medical supplier has been providing me with, which have a plastic backing, and can only be fastened with its four tape tabs once.

I wear a 48" pant size, but the widest part of my stomach is around 56". I found the extra-large size of the Superio to be a comfortable and secure fit for me. One thing that I liked about the Superio was that the waistband did not roll down my stomach into my abdominal fold like the Wings diapers I had been using. The waistband of the Superio is a bit thicker, thus it keeps its place around my waist, and does not fold or roll up. I am not particularly heavy (about 270 pounds), but I do have a fairly wide stomach and hips.

Since my particular form of urge and overflow incontinence results in heavy, complete voids of my bladder on a daily basis, I was a bit skeptical of the claims that te Wellness brief can hold about 10 cups of liquid. However, I was able to wear the Superio until I had at least 2-3 full voids before I had to change it. Any leaking associated with this diaper was perhaps due to the fact that I am still getting used to how to open it and put it on me correctly for a snug and secure fit.

The Superio did indeed hold a large volume of liquid without a problem. I was unable to wear the brief for the full 8 hours, yet that was due to the fact that I had already hada very healthy 2-3 full voids before that time. My urinary frequency was very heavy yesterday, and I believe that in standard, daily practice, the Superio brief will indeed be a most excellent diaper that will suit my needs, by providing me with a low-stress, no-nonsense incontinence solution that I won't have to worry about, either with leaks or odor.

The Superio brief was, overall, easy to use and put on, and was reasonably comfortable. I was very active and busy doing things while wearing it, and I got rather hot, but the Superio brief did not feel particularly clammy or wet. I am goingn to experiment with whether or not I will wear a pair of underwear over this particular diaper, since I usually do. I am fairly certain, however, that the Superio will not leak, and that will save me some trips to the laundry to wash my underwear.
I wore a sample out in public that also worked very well.
