Urinary Incontinence Support Group
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary excretion of urine from one's body. It is often temporary, and it almost always results from an underlying medical condition. Stress, functional, and urge incontinence are the most common forms. Share with other support group members and learn from their stories and experiences.

I am married. My husband and I are in our 40's. I joined the group because of my husband. He has started wetting during the day. He tries to hide it but I know. I have tried to discuss it with him, but he minimizes the probem trying to say it is only minor leaks. I am interested in discussing this with others to become a supportive wife.

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. This morning I ordered a new toy with attachments. It is small and has a brush like attachment and the other looks like a rose with a tiny tongue. I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Rechargable and...

I can't believe this has gone on this long. So I don't have much hope of getting a tech job, but I saw an educational job that I thought might be really good. It would have been working at a university supporting high school students who are taking college classes. I did a mock interview with a friend and prepared extensively. Having a supportive and understanding partner is so important as incontinence can be very isolating. Like your husband I am also very lucky to have an amazingly supportive and understanding wife of almost 31 years. I became incontinent as a result of a spinal injury in my mid 20s but had also been a bedwetter into my teens. I would encourage your husband to speak to his GP as it’s important to make sure there is not an underlying medical problem causing his leaky bladder. NHS Trusts also have specialist nurse continence advisers and they might be easier to talk to first off. I certainly found that and they have always been really helpful and understanding.
I hope you and your husband get the support you need.
