Urinary Incontinence Support Group
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary excretion of urine from one's body. It is often temporary, and it almost always results from an underlying medical condition. So today I went to a korean hospital to be check to see if I am incontinent. That might seem odd but I am in the military and they only believe what is on paper not the fact that you just peed or pooped your pants.
So I get there and they have me undress. My incontinence has been so bad I have had to wear adult diapers. I was already diagnosed with neurogenic bladder, but like I said the decision was made to put me through every test devised by man, so there I am undressing ant the nurse doesn't leave. She just watched and the made sure that I removed the diaper I was wearing. I could of just followed instructions, but aparently being treated like a child is part of the plan.
So then I lay down in the table. The next few minutes were some of the most painful of my life. The catheter felt like a garden hose going up my penis. Then my vasovagel bagel went off and I passed out. It was awful.
I came around and then they drained my bladder. After my bladder was completely empty they then proceeded to fill it. The nurse said to tell her when I felt full. Never did. So at some point she came and turned the monitor around to show me that my bladder was completely full.
Then came the fun part. She said ok, hold your pee. She then pulled out the catheter. After approximately 1.3 seconds I started to leak. It was a cold sensation since they had had filled me with nice cool saline solution. Well my bladder continued to contract and I continued to pee. She calmed and turned me, they took X-rays and a puddle is saline solution pee formed on the bed and the floor.
After that with all dignity lost the nurse helped me put a diaper back on and get dressed. At least she did it with a smile.
All dignity lost and now I know when I am leaking because it burns when I pee.

I haven't had anything done overseas, but I have had family and they too have reported that modesty is all out the window there. It's a job, get in, get it done, and get out. Glad she did help at the end and was smiling. That does help ones mind. I was embarrassed when I leaked all over the floor but my tech was cool and wasn't bothered by it at all. She just pointed it down into the funnel and asked me to hold it down so that it can get measured. Once done she cleaned up the mess on the floor.
Having to undress in front of a health care professional here in Canada is grounds for being dismissed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. It is a criminal offence.
And those tests are useless. I have had one too and it showed that everything is fine. Yeah. Everything is fine until it isn't.
