hi guys-this may be a little odd, but i figured this would be the bext place to ask. my kitten maria likes to follow me. she rides on the back of my chair. she sleeps with me, etc.
she sometimes follows me into the bathroom. often, i don't realize she's there untill after i've shut the door. this is not a problem except when i need to change my diaper. when i try to put them on, she claws at them and trys to chew them. i think she likes the stretchy material they're made of.
what do i do? it's not like i can open the door and shoo her out when i'm half-naked! and even if i try to get her out, she doesn't leave because she wants to be with me.

I also have two cats... and i know how playful they can be with stuff they're not supposed to play with..
One idea would be have a few cat toys on hand to distract her in the bathroom while you do your business.. something you don't need to hold so you can have your hands free..like a ball or a stuffed mouse.. something she can bat around with her paws.. it might just keep her occupied long enough for you to do what you need to do..
but, if you need to lay on the floor to change your diaper.. that may not really help, since you are eye level with her.. perhaps.. mount a cat toy on a string, and hang it from the shower head..and make it move.. if its a toy she really likes, it might occupy her long enough to get the diaper change done.. depending whether or not you deal with fecal incontinence, since a change with that kind of accident takes longer..
How roomy is your bathroom? is there room for her to have a seperate play area? How old is you cat? The older they get, the less playful they get..so this may be less of an issue as time goes on..
