Since having bladder botox treatment,I have had to use occasionally intermittent speed I catheters.
Last week i came down with a bladder infection and I am now on antibiotics. I hope this will not be a regular situation.
As being on antibiotics is a right pian.

This is why I refused to have anything t do with catheters and rely on nappies to combat my incontinence. The occasional rash is a lot easier to deal with. My wife works in the care sector with elderly people and most of those in her care are incontinent. She says they have moved away from using catheters in the home where she works and most of the residents just rely on nappies or pads.

Thats good to know ST50.certainly will be considering options going forward.
The treatment has improved things but I sometimes have to make sure my bladder is completely empty as it's not easy due to the decreased flow rate.

That is also why I did not go for Botox. I considered it to big a risk.

rorg, I have had Botox twice and each time I had to self cath some during it. I found to cut down on infections I used an Antibacterial Personal Catheter. They were the best in inserting comfort as well as fighting and or keeping infections away.

Botox didn't last very long for me and I still wore diapers because I didn't know what was going to happen. I am glad I did wear diapers because when the Botox wore off, I had no control again and was always flooding my diapers. Botox here in the USA is only to be given about every 6 months. I found the cost to have this done was way more than wearing diapers and it didn't last 6 months so I no longer consider it an option.
