Urinary Incontinence Support Group
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary excretion of urine from one's body. It is often temporary, and it almost always results from an underlying medical condition. Stress, functional, and urge incontinence are the most common forms. Share with other support group members and learn from their stories and experiences.
It makes me so angry and frustrated to hear about this. Like you I have problems holding on, and like you I resort to diapers when I know that Ill need them but we dont always know. How can we? And what are we supposed to do when we get caught? Soak our clothes? Is that really more socially acceptable than finding a quiet place to go? Is that how people expect us to cope or are we just expected to stay out of sight at home?
More and more I do stay at home. I get so anxious at leaving the house. More and more I resort to using diapers to give me the security to go anywhere Ive started to realise that often Im using them to control my anxiety rather than my bladder and why because I so fear the shame of an accident and the ridicule of others, and the humiliation. I wish it was easier to be open about how hard this is.
