I am new to this site. A little about myself. I am a male to female transsexual. My problems started shortly after being prescribed Sporonolactone which is a diaretic. This drug caused me to urinate in a greater frequency than before. I started having trouble shutting off or emptying my bladder all of the way. I started to wear diapers but they only made retention worse. Without diapers my incont issues started to rear their ugly head. One day I was suffering severe bladder spasms with severe urinary pain, the next day was fine, and then the floodgates opened. I was wearing a diaper to bed from the night before and in the morning I filled it. I had experimented with catheters and had some sterile ones. it was at this point that I started wearing catheters full time.
I do not have insurance to see an urologist so i am having to tackle this problem on my own.
I wear the Rochester Strata SI catheter and use the Rusch Belly Bag durring the day and switch to a bed bag at night. I have not had problems with my catheter in the 9 months that I have been catheterized.

If you need a good source to get catheters & supplies from very inexpensively without insurance or prescription, try Allegro Medical or At Home Medical. Either one has what you should need.
