Moved to Georgia earlier this year, gave up an independent consulting job I had for myself up north. Ok, no income. Started job hunt when move was done. Found a local temp to perm position in Norcross that was going perm. Not bad. Well, firm sold itself to a hedge fund and that ended that. Back to looking. Found a job in the center of Atlanta. Horrible commute upon discovery so that ended that. Back to looking. Found a perm position again in Norcross. First paycheck 3 days ago and, tonight, my car died in the garage.

The car I had since before my husband and I got married died a little while back. It wasn't such a surprise since it was 16 years old. Fortunately, since we had been able to save some money by not having a car payment for many years, we were able to replace it.
