Recently unemployed or frustrated with the job search? Unemployment can affect more than just the bank account - it has a negative effect on motivation and self-esteem, even sense of identity. This community addresses the challenges associated with unemployment and how to cope.
Why am I saying this?
I have a lot of reasons, but I am going to state a few.
I feel that I'm wasting my time trying to get a none existing job for companies that are so greedy that regardless of the circus goings in the government they would not hire anyone.
I understand their focus on the distractions, but if people don't have jobs sooner than later there will be more violence in these streets.
The screening process is the problem that is so frustrating.
All these tests, questionnaire's, and cynical uses of resumes/cover letters is making once a simple process into a complex useless waste of a person time.
Even temp agencies is in this circus, what do companies want? More consumers and customers, but how they going to have them if no one is hiring?
That is why a lot of people including me is dropping out of the job market.

Keep trying, my friend. Companies have stripped their employees down to the bare minimum, and they can't go below that number if they want to stay in business. In order to grow and become more profitable, they must at some point begin hiring new people. That will happen in the not-to-distant future.
I know things can seem depressing when you're out of work. But once you do begin to get interview offers because of the many applications you have and are going to submit to employers, things will look better and maybe just a little scary. And then once you are told to show up in the morning for work at a company to begin your new job, life will be great for you.
Keep trying, because wonderful things can happen when we just try!
i agree with blazefly. i always ask people how much longer are we suppose to keep applying for jobs only to not hear from employers and another 6 mos to a year goes by without a job? temp agencies are a waste of time i shouldn't have listen to these fucktards about them.
i contacted a few recently and never heard back from them. two temp agencies told me how they are only looking for experience and dont wanna hire entry level college grads like me.
