I am having problems trying to identify a skill or describe a skill on a job that has no real transferable or relate able skill? How can you identify the skill set for such a job?
Also, how to state it in a way that will sell it to a potential employer?
One more question, if I been out of work for a long-time and you only attended school during that time how can I convince a employer that I can or qualified for the position.

i had a 2nd job only lasted a week so that is not on my resume at all. since then, i was just a student until i grad in may 2010 and received my AAS network admin degree. i get the usual answer to volunteer which is nothing wrong with that but when when ur options are paying for your needs, then volunteering is not something u should do.
i always asked how do i convince employers that i am ready to go back into the workforce? i use my experience from college which is work just not being paid for it and it's preparing you for the work world too.
i put the workshops i have done last year and this year on my resumes to show that i am doing something. right now, i am thinking of going back the workforce connection to retake 2 workshops as a refresher.
i need help with my cover letter. i have in there about my college experience, there's not much i can say about my 1st job as far as strengths/weaknesses is concern (was there for 7 mos), and show i am willing to re-enter the workforce?
