I would start with one resume and use that to apply for things at first. At the Career Center in PA everyone is advised to create a functional resume so you stand out. Which ever type is easiest for you to do is probably the best place to start though.
Then if you notice the jobs you are applying for seem to need a different resume then I would create another one for those types of jobs.
Mostly I do not change my resume. I personalize my cover letter. I have three different resumes - two for two slightly different jobs and then a functional one.
Hope this helps! There are some free trial things online too where someone will help you edit your resume too.
I have an interview tomorrow for Specialisterne (IT firm that hires those with Autism) at their new Office in Belfast and; according to my Magic 8-Ball app at least; it is a job I will get.
I have waited so long for the miracle it's just got to happen soon.
