Millions of people are in the same position as you right now - no job... you are not alone in this. I know it can be hard... please call the number above...
there's no opportunities in the library at all and the bookstore is too small to make what i do into a position. they did have during the summer a manager's position open but that is not something i wanna do plus there isn't a lot of hours to begin with. i want a job with more hours not a few here and there.
i have been networking, but there isn't much they can tell/help me with. one girl is close to my age and got a job at subway no thanks i dont wanna work at subway. everybody else is retired at the bookstore. my idiot therapist told me to "keep volunteering" she forgets the financial part behind it - the transportation issue! its not that i am far away from the library, i already have a lot of miles on my car.
i got things i need to do once i get income and volunteering forever isn't going to help. i dont have much work history but did work in a grocery store in 05 and hated it. i am in the process of rebuilding myself as a person finishing up therapy.
Needless to say despite all this frustration I still give everyday my best I apply to jobs every day, do homework exercise, anything to keep me from feeling sorry for myself you sit too long and you begin to dwell. Please try and take it day by day sir some days will be better than others as the cliche goes but its true those days that aren't so bad give you just enough hope to push through the ones that are terrible. As for the dating situation, all in good time. something really great is just around the corner that's why it's taking so long. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP.
you don't want to use a permanent solution for a temporary problem.
I was there,
so depressed about a divorce that I let everything else go.
now I realize that in order to get back into living and possible meeting someone new I have to get myself back together again.
You're right...who wants someone who is so broken, different to ask someone to help that has been there and loves you but a new person. That would be asking a lot.
SO, right now, take care of yourself and put your energy in getting "back on the horse" and taking care of your health and learning new coping skills and how to deal with depression and becoming a stronger and better you.
Be glad and confident that you are a good person after all she did want to marry you.
Take what you have learned from the relationship and put it away for use the next time.
sincerely though,
I think you need to focus on YOU right now, and become whole again and go to the people that will always be there for you and love you........family, friends, hey, counselor, etc.
why didn't rekindling the old relationships with friends work out ?
you may want to try that again. After my divorce I took two years to even consider dating, too many people worry about getting into it way too soon.
ps. if you keep having ANY thought of harming yourself please please let your doctor know or go to an emergency room. This is the beginning of your new life and you can write the script. You have an education from life and now you can take that and be one step ahead of the other guys.
the very best of luck
