I don't even know where to post this post and I apologize for it being so long, but here it goes. I am currently still living at home and I am unemployed. I am living at home with my dad and, to make matters worse, my mom passed away last year on March. My dad has already found another girlfriend and they are going to sell their houses and move in with each other. I have so much anxiety about the future and I feel totally incompetent. My dad's girlfriend has said twice now how she is concerned that I won't have social security when I get older and the last time she said it she went as for as to say ":i need to do something, that I'll be homeless and that that is reality". My sister, whom that I am not that close to, said that that is not her business", at least when she was talking to me. I told my dad that I thought that his girlfriend has" overstepped her boundaries" and all he said was what she said is the truth. He said that I will be homeless when they die. I get worried that she'll say god knows what else and he'll always "have her back" and vice versa. Anyway, as I've already said, I don't know what to do. I feel incompetent, I think, because I have lost several jobs because I was too slow. I have also struggled at other jobs. I just don't want to lose another job when I can get one. It has never been easy for me to find a job and I don't even know where to apply. I don't thrive in fast paced environments such as factories, fast food, cashiering, waitressing? etc. My mom understood that, but my dad doesn't. He and his girlfriend both said that I could move faster. His girlfriend also said that I "just get another job if I get let go and that they're are a lot of jobs" My sister even said that it's not that easy as she makes it sound. I honestly don't think that I could make it through losing another job. I don't see how that would make me feel anymore competent. I would feel even more incompetent than I already do. I also hate applying for jobs and not even getting an interview. I am babysitting on school days for my sister, but she swears that she can't even pay me 10 dollars a day. The little bit of money she gives me mostly all goes into putting gas in my car. I don't know what to do. I have a case manager and he doesn't even want to apply for disability because it is so hard to get and I think he thinks that I have more potential than that, but I don't feel like I do. My girlfriend's daughter lives off of disability and her husband's income and I am angry about that. My sister gets paid $1500 dollars a month in child support! She only works part time at the school breakfast and lunch program. She has lived completely off of child support before. My friend is so lucky. She is a homemaker and her girlfriend or whoever is the breadwinner. I think that all of these people are so lucky. At this point in my life I just want to be a lucky homemaker because I don't see how I am ever going to be able to support myself with all of my difficulties. I have also been in a state where I feel wide awake and could just go and go for over 4 years now. I am on sedatives due to that and that just further increases my already high anxiety and stress level. I guess the big question in my life is "How the hell am I supposed to support myself with the difficulties I have had?" I don't know what to do and I don't need someone like my dad's girlfriend saying things to me like she did. I'm worried that everybody will agree with her and not think that she has overstepped her boundaries. I don't want to die because I don't know what will happen to me, but then, I don't want to live like this either.
