Giving Trust to a CS...

How are you coming along with trusting your CS? My H has been great, ideal even, but I still struggle with jealousy, insecurity, and giving him trust. I just want to know how this is for you guys? How long have you been rebuilding?? Can you see an increase in your trust of your spouse since the fall-out?? Do you think it will ever be close to what it was before all the BS?? (I'll settle for close to it, these days, LOL).

Alison- you sound a lot like me right now (7.5 months out). I waiver between the trust/don't trust almost hourly. I kind of like my walls right now. And I am focusing on what I who I want to be now. I work a lot on being the kind of mother I want to be, the kind of person I want to be and these combined are the spouse he gets. I have decided that one thing I get out of this is me. I will become the person I have always pictured in my head but fell short of in real life because lets face it, being a good, centered person is hard work.

Can I ask a silly question? How long was it before you made love to your spouse after d day? what about them? did they have an issue? or a time to wait?

I agree. This has taken a huge toll on my mental and physical health. I couldn't go through this again. I used to feel so young and full of life. Now I don't trust. Some days I feel so incredibly old. I would like to be with someone I can relax with...someone who has never hurt me . No triggers. No bad memories. No wondering what lies/OW will surface.... no when/if he will ever do it again. Peace.
